Bio: Elizabeth is a Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) research scientist at the University of Colorado Boulder, working at the NOAA Global Monitoring Laboratory, where she leads the Upper Atmospheric Water Vapor group in the Ozone and Water Vapor Division. Her research focuses on perturbations to stratospheric aerosol and water vapor and their chemical and climate impacts. She lives in Boulder with her daughter and husband, enjoys rock-climbing and back-country skiing.
Elizabeth received her PhD at the University of British Columbia in Oceanography, with Dr. Philippe Tortell. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California-Davis and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado she studied emissions of volatile organic compounds and aerosol in the terrestrial boundary layer.
